Scholarships for students in special life situations

Special life situations place a double burden on students: If family members need to be cared for or children need to be looked after, if exceptional circumstances place a heavy burden on young people and, in addition, financial hardship makes it necessary to work part-time, then the studies and academic performance inevitably suffer. With the short-term scholarship, the KIT Foundation supports talented students in extraordinary life situations and helps them to successfully complete their studies despite all challenges. It is particularly aimed at students who are about to graduate and are in acute financial difficulties and for whom other possibilities of (state) support are not available. The scholarship supports students in this critical phase in successfully completing their studies.

In 2015 a total of 4 scholarships were awarded to students.

The students were supported by the Christian Bürkert Foundation.
