Balu & Du - Children's project at the Center for Applied Cultural Studies and Studium Generale (ZAK)

Balu und Du - big engagement for small personalities

The nationwide mentoring program "Balu und Du" supports primary school children in extracurricular activities. Committed students, called Balus, volunteer to individually sponsor a child (Mogli) for at least one year. Through personal devotion and active leisure activities, they help the child to develop in our society and learn how to successfully master the challenges of everyday life. The positive effects of the program are confirmed by effectiveness research.

The KIT Foundation supported the "Balu und Du" project with funds that were used, for example, to pay out pocket money per team or to carry out community activities.
