Foundation Purpose

The purpose of the KIT Foundation is to promote KIT in the fields of research, teaching, innovation and academic life, in particular by supporting the scientific and technical infrastructure, outstanding research and teaching, and excellent junior staff, and to award scholarships, also to students who are willing to perform in special personal life situations.
 

The foundation realizes this purpose by non-material support of the KIT and its members as well as by the financial funding of lead projects and by the implementation of concrete projects at KIT.

The KIT Foundation pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes; its funds are used only for the purposes of the foundation in accordance with its statutes. The KIT Foundation supports projects in the fields of research, teaching, and students as well as academic life at KIT with its investment income and with endowments and donations from sponsors.
